Price check please

  • Nov. 15th, 2009 at 7:30 PM
My wife wants to sell her Drta, nude, but doesn't know how much to ask for her.
Can anyone give me a price check on her? She's sold out and is selling for $300 in box.
She has her origional face-up and wig (with pigtails and hairbaubles).
Her middle is a little loose, but not floppy. All other joints are good.

Sorry for this - Charter Sig request

I was going to rant on how my work is pissing me off and only giving me 19 hours next week (less then what I got as a porter, and to showcase how much of an hour cut that is, I had 32 last week and thought that was low) but whatever. Here's a meme I stole from [info]fairyblue.

Step 1: Put your MP3 player or whatever music player you have on random.
Step 2: Post a line/stanza from the first 20 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.
Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 4: Bold the songs when someone guesses correctly. (No Cheating)

Let's see how obscure my music is )

Hey!

  • Nov. 15th, 2009 at 5:51 PM
Hey, I have been a member for awhile but I have not posted an introductory so thought instead of doing my university assignment work I would, Hi! I am Damita, alias not real of course, I'm 24 married living with my husband and three cats, we got married this year in June and brought a two bed house last year, still needs a lot of work doing to it.

I am studying full-time at university for my Computer Science degree and my husband works full-time, over the last 3/4 months we have both been getting more and more broody, (btw he is 30), the only thing stopping us is the fact I am still at uni and money is rubbish right now due to one income....

My best friend has a three year old child and my other best friend has started trying for a baby, I just feel like my life is on hold at the mo and I am so broody, we have spoken about trying for one well not really trying but not doing anything to stop it from happening next Christmas... but I don't think we will :(

That's about it... glad I am not the only one...

Disc data

  • Nov. 15th, 2009 at 12:48 PM
I've been playing disc for about two years now and last night was the first time I actually saw a log of our raid. I looked at it but I am not a number cruncher- is there anyone willing to take a look to see what's up? I play with about 3 to 5 fps (a BIG part of why I don't raid very often, if at all) and I'm not sure that it really maters but I feel like I should just throw that out there.

Türkish's log.

Hangin' with the Cowwwww for Christmas!

  • Nov. 15th, 2009 at 3:23 AM
Hi, everyone! My name is Torey and I live in Brigham City, Utah. Not the most stellar place I've lived (military brat), but it has a white Christmas. I'm currently 18 years old, engaged, and not really caring about being poor. Seriously- being positive seems to keep my world going 'round. I'm poor today, but there's always tomorrow! In any case, I'd like to post my wishlist here and get started on sending packages out. If you need to contact me, my email is felonsdictation@aol.com
Please put Holiday Wishes in the subject line. :]

1: Russian Nesting Dolls; I really enjoy looking at them and taking them apart, putting them back together... And before I took one out of a box about two weeks ago, my fiancee never knew what they were! I was quite amazed! I prefer the traditional Russian style.

2: Things From Other Places; I'm talking like those tourist type things you buy when you visit somewhere new. I have a vast collection of the stuff. Saki bottles, delft plates depicting a certain place, shot glasses, brochures shocasing the place, etc. I even have a bottle of sand from the Great Sand Dunes in Colorado. So pretty much anything goes. But if you could also include a description of it for me, that'd be great.

3: Cards/Post Cards With Art on Them; I collect Post Cards and cards that have art on them. Pretty straightforward. I like all types of art. If you like it and think enough to send it to me, then I'll like it just because of the thought you took to pick it out. I don't really want Christmas/Holiday cards, though. A Norman Rockwell snow scene is great, but not something revolving around religion and a holiday. Please.

4: The Beatles Memoribilia; Oh yes. I truly adore the Beatles. Any memoribilia/movies/pictures/shirts/blankets/sheet music/CDs/Vinyls/etc. that I could have would be awesome. It's far-fetched, but it's definitely a wish. A very hopeful wish. (Ringo is my favorite.)

5: Old Movies; I adore old movies. From let's say the 30s-early 60s. Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, the Marx Brothers, Jack Benny, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, Gene Kelly, Donald O'Connor, Judy Garland, Lucille Ball... The list goes on forever. But I simply love old Hollywood musicals. Any would be a welcome addition to my growing collection. I have an intense movie appreciation.

6: A Digital Camera; I don't have anything to take pictures with and our WalMart stopped developing film. It's tragic, if you ask me. Even a cheap 20-30 dollar one would be awesome. I just want to document life with pictures like I used to... before WalMart went all crazy and annoying.

7: Things to Move Out; I'm moving out soon and would greatly appreciate anything that could help. Kitchenware, towels, bathroom stuff, Queen sized bedset, etc. Anything.

8: The Sims 3; Simply because I have a laptop (grandparents loan <3) and nothing to play on it. And I love the Sims. Pretty material, aren't I? xD

9: Vintage Things; I collect old knick-knacks. I like things that are old and have a story.

And something that's outlandish:

10: Xbox360 Pro; I'm a big gamer... But I have no system. And, by far, my favorite is the 360. It's outlandish, but I've been wishing for over a year. It'll always be a wish. And that's what this place is for. :]

Note: If you could link me back to your wishlist, that'd be great. If there's something on there that I can grant, I'd be ever so happy. :]

For once, I'm early!

  • Nov. 15th, 2009 at 1:04 AM
Greetings and Happy Beginning-of-the-Holidays! Having all but abandoned LJ in the last year, I was pleasantly surprised to be reminded of this community in my e-mail. Unfortunately things are, well, they've always been tough, but right now I'm in a particularly interesting spot with no health insurance or food money et cetera. So I can do some graphic work, and some writing work perhaps, and other things-that-don't-require-moneys, and I might be able to send out some postcards, but other than that I can't promise much. I'll do what I can though =] For the record, do people actually read the early-posted posts? I hope I don't get overlooked because I'm impatient!

*A little bit about me: I have Asperger's syndrome, a defining characteristic of which is obsessive fixations, meaning I latch on to random things and anything even obliquely related to that topic makes me giddy. So when I say "anything related to" I do mean "ANYTHING".

Now let's begin, shall we?

  1. Anything related to* Metallica. Usually I end up obsessing over some über-obscure German-electro-goth band (okay, so that was only once, but still), but here I think we all at least know who I'm talking about. If you have CDs (or tapes, records [seriously, records are COOL], VHS, even DVD) laying around that you don't want anymore, I really don't care how used they are. Posters would be really really cool too. Anything. I have "Master of Puppets", and the S&M cds, and someone gave me the second tape (I seem to always get half of things, it's awesome) of "A Year And A Half In The Life Of", and I picked up the CDS for "Until It Sleeps" for 50¢ at a record shop, which was so cool. My best friend just bought a pair of tickets to their show with the intention of going with me but then he found out he's deploying at the end of the month, so I'm super excited about seeing them but still pretty bummed that he can't go. Anyway, end of tangent.

  2. Similarly, anything related to HP Lovecraft. You know, the guy with the Cthulhu? Beat up paperbacks are totally awesome. You'll be my best friend forever if you get me a Cthulhu plushie. Or the most amazing book I think I've ever seen, My First Mythos, which a friend of mine got for her son when he was a baby. I'm getting (if and when I can ever afford it) a tattoo on my calf of the first paragraph from "The Call of Cthulhu". Also super exciting, although it'll be a long time before I can pull it off save for a miracle. But hey, miracles happen, you never know. And I am tangent-ing again.

  3. A pair of acetycholine earrings! I have myasthenia gravis, which means that the body produces antibodies to the acetycholine receptors, and I just think this would be a great way to make light of it while also giving me an opportunity to spread awareness when people ask about the strange design. Plus, molecule jewelry is a level of geekdom I have always aspired to.

  4. Candles and incense of all types! Soy candles are awesome, but so are cheap votives or tealights. I love all possible scents, especially traditional autumnal fragrances like pumpkin, hazelnut, apple pie... yum! I like to always have candles and incense burning on my altar, but they get expensive so I've had to ration them recently, which makes me sad.

  5. Here's the seemingly requisite pipe dream fantasy item! A new laptop! I have a (still shiny) Vaio, which works. And that's honestly about all I can say for it. My wonderful DVD-RAM-DL-RW drive decided one day that it was going on strike and left me with a non-reliable CD read-only drive, from which I cannot install my usual operating system. Fortunately, this occurred right after I got XP installed on it, although the plan was to install Ubuntu as my day-to-day operating system, using XP only for extenuating circumstances that absolutely required Windows. Anyway, so I thankfully have a working computer, but no battery (it just gave out from use and age), a flaky power cord (that was already replaced once but it doesn't quite fit, so it tends to come loose randomly, which isn't cool when you have no battery to fall back on), and a brand new harddrive! So frustrating. Anyway, hey, maybe someone has a machine laying around with no operating system or even no harddrive! If so... I'd love you forever if you'd let me take it off your hands! I'll love it and feed it and... anyway

  6. An ouroborus ring. You know, the serpent that devours its own tail? It's a symbol for eternity, and I just think it is absolutely amazing!

  7. Band shirts and patches. I love most all classic heavy metal bands (Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, et cetera) and a lot of newer non-screamo metal bands as well (Disturbed, Bullet For My Valentine). I made a fantastic (if I do say so myself) bag out of an old bag I had, a pair of jeans, and an AC/DC panel off of a super cheap (in both senses of the word) bag from Wal-Mart, and now I'm looking for patches to stick on to the denim portion thereof.

  8. Pins/buttons! I have this hat, and I wear it 99% of the time; it's a fedora and it's becoming more and more covered with small pins. Most of them are an inch across, some are two, and a couple aren't even round. Again, anything to do with music is amazing (if you have some laying around, feel free to e-mail me and ask if it's something I'll use, I won't take it if I won't use it because someone else might, I promise), and I work in the gay rights movement so anything to do with that is cool too. Basically I love pins to death, but they're so expensive (I've spent more on the pins than I did on the hat, and it's a decent hat)

  9. Postcards and other regional things from around the country and around the world. Letters not written in English are awesome! Especially if they're in (Mandarin) Chinese, which I'm studying. Actually, everything in Chinese is pretty cool. I have a Harry Potter book that's in Chinese, and I'm not sure how much is actually in it, because it's tiny compared to the English version, so I'm wondering if it's only part of the story or something, but I guess I'll know soon enough! Anyway, postcards are really cool, much cooler than holiday cards. Although holiday cards are cool too. I have a collection of postcards on my wall above my bed and altar. They're cool. I'd love to add your state or country or even city!

  10. This is my last one, right? Well, I think I've asked for more than enough for myself, so here's one dedicated to my friends and family. Do me a favor, when you're writing out your holiday cards or what have you, for those of you in the USA at least, send some out to the troops as well. It makes a huge difference in their days. And let me know when you do!

So the upshot of this all is that Kaiti talks a lot. Well, if you've made it this far, you're cool and I like you.

You can reach me at elcisitiak@hotmail.com. Or, if you're the anonymous donor type, you can just mail to me, I don't mind.

It feels a bit too early to say "happy Holidays", so - hi! I'm Luka from Berlin/Germany, 25 years old, customer care worker by day, volunteer by night (and day, and weekend, ... *g*). This is the first time in two years or so that I feel comfortable posting here, since I finally turned my life around and have the time and means to grant wishes again instead of just posting mine. My list for this year:

01. Interesting postcards. I'm moving into my first own apartment (after six years of student housing or having roommates) soon and I hate blank walls.

02. Cake decorations. I covet those edible markers in particular, but if it can be be used to prettify (cup)cakes, I'd love it.

03. Tea, particularly interesting herbal or spice blends, green or black.

04. (Used) Books, especially non-fiction about (trans)gender, sexuality, 19th and early 20th century Europe (cultural history in particular), the world wars, military topics in general, graphic design and media studies. Or quirky contemporary fiction, especially urban fantasy. Or just anything you think I should read. Doubling the amount of books I read is on my to-do list for 2010, and my to-read list alone won't cut it.

05. BPAL imps, because I'm not in the US and ordering internationally can turn into a bit of a hassle. No specific scent I want to try (read: my want list is too long), but I prefer heavier, spicy or herbal blends over sweet or light ones.

06. Victorian or, more realistically, Victorian-looking jewelry suitable for a middle or upper class woman in half-mourning in the mid-1880s. (I would DIE for hair work in particular, but that's of course a long shot.) I'm assembling my first reenactment costume, but can't seem to find any appropriate accessories that are anywhere near affordable.

07. Something typical to your hometown or country, be it food, a touristy trinket, or just a shell you found on the beach. I have severe wanderlust and this is the next best alternative to really traveling everywhere (which I obviously can't afford.)

08. And now for the more idealistic wishes: Volunteer! If you have any spare time at all, consider donating some of it to a cause, be it as little as offering to get groceries for your mobility-impaired neighbour or as much as joining relief efforts in a third-world country. Many people depend on charity, and most charities depend on volunteers (and donations, so if you don't have time, but money, you might consider that instead). If you do, I'd love it if you posted about your experiences.

09. In 2010, make a conscious effort to open your mind and expand your horizons. If you are against gay marriage, talk to a gay couple. If you're an atheist, attend a religious service or have someone explain their beliefs to you. Speak to an anarchist, a conservative, a feminist, an immigrant, a transgendered person, a soldier, an atheist, a creationist. Attend lectures or rallies. I'm not saying you necessarily need to change your mind, but I firmly believe that the world would very much benefit from everyone trying to understand where other people are coming from. Again, if you do this, I'd love to hear about it.

10. For everyone to adopt to practice random acts of kindness as much as they can.

If you need my mailing address or want to tell me about your experiences, you can reach me at mymostprivateemail[at]gmail[dot]com

Season's Greetings

  • Nov. 15th, 2009 at 12:27 AM
My name is Estelle and this is my first time using the holiday wishes. A friend of mine told me about this and how generous people are so I was hoping I'd add myself to the list and hopefully someone could show some christmas spirit. I am 25 years old and although I work times are tough and money is tight. Between paying my bills including rent and college loans I find myself strapped for cash this year. Here is a list of things I am interested in.

1) A Leapster Video System:
This item is for my 6 year old nephew. He is a special needs child and I am looking for anything that can help him learn. He is bright but still takes a little longer to catch on to certain things. His mother, my sister, doesn't have the patience to pay attention to his needs so I am looking to get him this system and games so he can learn on his own. He likes to play video games and I want to get him things to help him learn. I wish I could find something that could help him learn his colors as doctors have diagnosed him as being color blind. This is the most important item on my list as what I'd like to get for my nephew.

2) Stamps:
I have a few Christmas cards to send out as well as sending out to pay my bills. I'm really not up on what is on a stamp so any type will be nice.

3) Gift Cards:
I know most people say gift cards aren't what you should get someone since stores close but I like them. Anything to a store like clothing stores, GameStop, Best Buy, food places will be helpful.

4) Donation to my Pay-Pal Account:
I hate to ask but I am hoping anyone can donate whatever they can so I can try to complete some of these wish list items including getting some games to go with the leapster if I am fortunate to get one. I know they cost a bit for each one and I want my nephew to have every advantage possible.

5) Digital Camera:
I bought one over three years ago and one day when I went to look to use it I noticed it was broken so I am looking to get a new one so I can take pictures and hold memories.

6) A bed/scratching post for my cat:
I am looking to buy my cat a bed or a scratching post this holiday season. She is one years old and very playful. I want to treat her to something as well.

7) Nintendo DS Video Game: Sims
There are two out for DS I believe and one is a spy version. I am looking for that one to play when I can find some free time.

8) Holiday Wishes:
Just having people wish me a happy holiday's means a lot. I've lived where I am for three years and don't have many friends out here so just hearing some holiday cheer would mean a lot.

9) Body lotion/Shower gels
I really like nice scents and usually collect a lot of different types of lotions and gels. I've used some from Victoria Secret, Bed Bath and Beyond and Bath and Body Works.

10) Teddy Bears:
My hobby is collecting teddy bears. I have four Vermont teddy bears plus different types of teddy bears from various stores including build a bear. I am a teddy bear fan and love different styles and wears to them.

This is my holiday wish list. If anyone would like to help me make the holiday's special you can email me at: estellechisolm@yahoo.com and we can discuss where the item can be sent.
If you'd like to send a donation to my pay-pal address it is: estellechisolm@yahoo.com

Thank you for reading my wish list and have a blessed holiday season.

Yay!

I'm so excited to see this comm open again, it means that it's my favorite time of year again! My name is Katie and I'm currently living in Buffalo. I just finished my master's and am sorting my life out.

1. tea- any. I live with two other tea drinkers and we will drink anything we can get our hands on. Even if it's just a couple of bags that you have left over from another box.

2. gift cards- I would love Wegman's cards in particular in any denomination but a Visa/Mastercard giftcard in any denomination would be great too. Money is rather tight right now and any little bit helps.

3. mail- any mail whatsoever. I keep all the christmas cards that i get from this comm every year in a box.

4. donate- donate to a charity of your choice. It doesn't matter what it is.

5. make something- if you craft at all, make something and donate it.

6. take care of yourself- even if it's just five minutes a day, this is a really high stress time of year for a lot of people.

7. BPAL imps- any of them. i have a friend who's obsessed with BPAL (and i am too) and i would love to be able to give her new imps.

It's easier to PM me here to contact me, hotmail and yahoo both tend to flag me as a spammer for whatever reason if I try to use those accounts for this comm.

Hay, I'm a college student from Singapore with a penchant for pandas and D&D.

I don't have 10 wishes!

1. used/new D&D stuff!
I know that's really vague, but right now I'm kind of broke and so need all the help I can get to make my games a better experience! I've only gotten into it recently, so yeah. I have PHB1 and Arcane powers, if anybody has e-books that they could send me besides PHB and AP, that'd do. Minis and actual books would be swell, too! I don't have a computer that I can lug around, so it'd be nice to have something to refer to IRL.

2. If you're gonna buy shirts off Threadless, buy from this link, pwease?
They're all I ever wear these days, and I'd love any discount I can get! If you buy from it, I get discounts. :D

3. New LJ friends!
I like to pretend I'm an ordinary person, but many people seem to find me strange. IDK, ~*all I want is love*~.

4. New RL friends!
Who are preferably nerds and intelligent and don't ramble on incessantly without regards for whether I am listening and like D&D and don't like crowds. Well, IDK, I'm allowed to wish, right?

5. ANYTHING PANDAS!!
I'm. Obsessed. With. Pandas.

6. Any used books!
I'm a bibliophile. Yep.

7. Chocolates!!!!!!!!!

8. HAPPINESS!

Please contact me using PMs. Thanks! IDK what I can give, but as long as I can afford it, I will try my best!

I'm Ri, and I'm 24 from London in the UK. This is my first time participating, I'm looking forward to granting some wishes and getting to know some of you! :D

Material things -

1 - Pretty magazine cuttings/old zines - I'm talking girly, crafty, whimsical and romantic stuff, flowers, fashion spreads/photography, shabby chic interiors, ribbons, pretty words, poetry, lace, that kind of thing. I'd also really love picture cuttings of Audrey Hepburn, Audrey Tautou, and Marilyn Monroe :) I can't afford to buy magazines, so my scrapbook relies on free newspapers and donations, heh :P Actually, if you have any old issues of magazines like Frankie or Lula (or girly/romantic fan-made zines like Arabesque) that you don't want anymore, that would be fantastic :D

2 - A 1 year paid Flickr account - It's that one thing I always mean to buy on payday, but I never get around to it... O_o;

3 - Handmade goods - Something small like in my Etsy favourites, or something little you made yourself, like a pouch or hair grips, or even origami cranes or paper stars :)

4 - Fridge magnets - Any kind of fridge magnets, from wherever you are or wherever you've been! My mom collects these, and it'll cheer her up so much! If you could include a little handwritten note just saying Merry Christmas or something like that, it would be beautiful ♥

5 - Studio Ghibli anything - Anything you have lying around that you don't want anymore, even (especially?) old stuff in used/loved condition, except DVDs :) I particularly love Kiki's Delivery Service (and Jiji) ♥ Even magazine cuttings would be good!

Non-material things

6 - Some prayers - If you can, pray for my mom who is very ill and depressed and housebound :/ Also, for my friend Alex's dad who was diagnosed with cancer of the lymph nodes this month, and now Alex is, at 26, his full-time carer. And last but not least, for my best friend Mike and his family - he lost his father at Christmas last year to a heart attack. I just want them all to have the strength to get through their tough times somehow, I'm running out of ideas on how to help them myself :/

7 - Your favourite inspirational quotes, websites, Blogger blogs - I recently made a Blogger blog, and I have no-one to watch yet... ^^;; Also, I collect pretty pictures and quotes like no-one's business. So, feed my addiction and show me the things you love! :D

8 - Better self-esteem - Something I've been fighting for for *years*, but when I get it, I can never make it last :( So, any advice, websites, books recs, affirmations, *anything* you can think of to help me would be *very* much appreciated ♥

9 - Love - This season, tell at least one person a day that you love them, and tell *yourself* that you love *you* at least once a day too (and I promise I'll do it as well, starting today! :P) :)

My email is sweet _ chouquette [at] yahoo.co.uk, thank you for reading! ^_^
